The workshop is aimed at demonstrating some state of the art, sophisticated microscopy techniques in
use at TIFR Hyderabad, and giving teachers practical experience of building and using “Foldscopes”,
a portable and easy to use model of paper microscopes developed by the Prakash Lab at Stanford University, USA.
About 15 secondary and higher secondary science teachers of three neighbouring schools of the
Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TSWREIS) will be participating.
