Participants – 25 Bioscience teachers of Class 8 and 9, Class 11 and 1st year life sciences degree college

Names of Schools / College – Chilkur, Narsingi, Gowlidoddi, Shaikpet, Mahindra Hills, Isnapur, Mulugu, Kondapur, Dharmaram; Degree College (Mahindra Hills, located at Shamirpet)

One participant from each school should bring a smartphone. As prior preparation participants should search the internet for ‘foldscope’ and ‘microcosmos’.

11:00 – 11:30 hrs – Introduction to TIFR-H
11:30 – 11:45 hrs – Introduction to the foldscope
11:45 – 12:30 hrs – Assembly of the foldscope
12:30 – 13:00 hrs – Possibilities for the classroom
13:00 – 13:30 hrs – Lunch
13:30 – 14:00 hrs – Sample collection
14:00 – 15:00 hrs – Sample preparation and mounting of slides
15:00 – 16:00 hrs – Viewing and photographing samples
