A \u2018Postdoctoral Fellow\u2019 position is available. The position is funded by the prestigious Wellcome Trust \/DBT India Alliance award. The research entails systematic development of unnatural protein inhibitors to prevent invasion of malaria parasite into human erythrocyte. The successful candidate will join a team of researchers that employ a combination of synthetic organic chemistry, structural biology and chemical biology tools to understand and control the molecular basis of malaria parasite invasion into red blood cells.<\/span><\/p>\n

The candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in synthetic organic chemistry\/ chemical biology\/ structural biology\/ malaria biology or a related field. Having prior experience with complex small molecule synthesis and\/or peptide synthesis and\/or protein crystallography and\/or malaria parasite culture would be an added advantage. The salary will be commensurate with experience.
