{"id":1325,"date":"2024-02-23T11:41:21","date_gmt":"2024-02-23T11:41:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tifrh.res.in\/~sciencemedia\/?p=1325"},"modified":"2024-02-23T16:00:20","modified_gmt":"2024-02-23T16:00:20","slug":"teacher-orientation-programme-for-upskilling-in-physics-top-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tifrh.res.in\/~sciencemedia\/index.php\/2024\/02\/23\/teacher-orientation-programme-for-upskilling-in-physics-top-up\/","title":{"rendered":"Teacher Orientation Programme for Upskilling in Physics (TOP-UP)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Hyderabad and the UGC Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (MMTTC), University of Hyderabad (UoH) in association with the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE), Mumbai organized a teacher orientation programme for upskilling in Physics from February 19 &#8211; 23, 2024 at the UoH campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was inaugurated on February 19, 2024 at MMTTC. About 25 participants from different colleges of Telangana along with a few teachers from different states attended the event. The guest of honor, M. Krishnamurthy, Centre Director &#8211; TIFR Hyderabad addressed the teachers about the legacy of Homi J. Bhabha and the role of TIFR in scientific training and research excellence. The chief guest, B. J. Rao, Vice Chancellor, UoH emphasized the importance of equipping teachers with newer learning techniques to enlighten the already smart students of this era.
